Development Environment Set-up
You must complete the following development environment set-up by the first day of the technical lecture ( 06/19 ). Each of these tools is used extensively in our SET training. Make sure to contact us if you have any installation blockers or questions.
Here is the list of tools you must install, and keep in mind that you will be using each of the following tools in your workplace.
- Microsoft Teams
- Git Version Control
- GitHub Account
- Intellij Code Editor
› Setting up MS Team¶
Microsoft Teams is a business communication platform that most companies use as the primary internal communication tool. We will use this tool for conducting our training. Once you install the teams, sign in with the provided Alphaleaf company username and password.

› Setting up Git¶
Git is a free and open-source distributed code version control system that assists your software project development. We will use this tool to keep track of the project file versioning.

› Setting up GitHub Account¶
GitHub is a code hosting platform for version control and project collaboration. We will host most of the programming projects on GitHub for collaboration, and you will host your projects to showcase your programming skills.
Make sure to create a GitHub account using your private email, and send your GitHub account username to Nijat via MS Team direct message. We will add you to the @alphaleaftech organization

› Setting up Intellij IDE¶
Intellij is a cutting-edge code editor for designing and creating Java programs. In our training, we will use Community Edition to create test automation programs.
